🏯 Nijo Castle – The former residence of Shogun Tokugawa, this historic castle is famous for its exquisite architecture, hand-painted sliding doors, and its intriguing “nightingale floors,” designed to chirp and alert against intruders.

✨ Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) – One of Japan’s most iconic temples, with its upper floors covered in gold leaf, reflecting beautifully on the tranquil pond that surrounds it.

🎭 Gion, the Geisha District – As evening approaches, we’ll explore Gion, where tradition is still alive.
